American Girl launches adult Halloween costumes that are a millennial’s dream come true

Millennials, if you who grew up obsessing over American Girl dolls, your time has come to relive your childhood memories this Halloween.
The beloved toy brand, founded by an Upstate New York college alum, has released new costumes inspired by their iconic dolls.
And the best part — the costumes are for both adults and kids.
Now owned by Mattel, American Girl recently announced on social media that they have partnered with Rubies to offer Halloween costumes of your favorite dolls.
Adults will get to choose from the original trio of Kirsten, Samantha or Molly which were released in 1986, as well as Kit Kittredge, released in the year 2000.
For the younger crowd of American Girl fanatics, characters Courtney, Judy, Maryellen and Melody are available.

The original dolls, which created a pop culture phoenomena, have deep roots to Upstate New York. Pleasant Rowland, the founder, is an alumna of Wells College in Aurora on Cayuga Lake.
German dollmaker, Götz, who originally made the American Girl dolls, opened a manufacturing branch in 1987 in the Central NY village of Baldwinsville to make these popular toys.
The enduring popularity of American Girl dolls was recognized in 2021 when they were inducted into the Toy Hall of Fame in 2021, located in Rochester’s Strong Museum of Play.
